pure sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using modified sine wave technology, it creates a stepped waveform that simulates AC power. This is perfect for resistive loads like electric heaters and toasters. Plus, the inverter can generate 6,000 starting watts and 3,000 running watts which is a great fit for larger appliances.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 4 standard North American outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, USB port for charging small electronic devices, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately).

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage and overloading. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 400-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 400 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remote Provides Easy Control

The Go Power GP-HD-R Inverter Remote (sold separately) lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

I have not yet installed the product i ordered because i am in the commercial repair business and specialize in trucks running expedited freight. I. am replacing a bad unit that was equiped with the truck that is currently on the road. As far as the team at e trailer they have been fantastic with updates on my order and let me know right away that my product was on back order, and continued to give me updates when i would recieve it. And they delivered when promised. I will continue to order from them because of the great customer service i recieved even when a product wasnt in stock.

Received inverter. Will be installing on a travel trailer to complete my go-power solar install. Had a problem with package being delivered open. I contacted ETrailer and they took care of ordering replacement paperwork. Have not installed yet but am sure everything will be fine.

  • Does Progressive Dynamics AC/DC panel part # PD4590K18LS8 Have Inverter
The Progressive Dynamics AC/DC panel part # PD4590K18LS8 does not have an inverter to power your fridge from your 12 volt battery but you could also go with the inverter part # 34280178 and you'd have ability to power your fridge while traveling like you are wanting to.

  • Power Requirements for Air Conditioner Installation in 7 x 12 Enclosed Trailer
We do offer rooftop air conditioner units for trailers that will both help control the interior temperature inside your 7 x 12-foot enclosed trailer and help control the amount of humidity to protect your musical instruments. The most important thing to consider up front is how much power the unit will need to operate. All air conditioners use a lot of power. Even our smallest 13,500-BTU model # AT15032-22 will need a 115-volt AC-power circuit capable of delivering 11-amps. At startup...

  • Is the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter Enough to Run Electronics
The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178 is an industrial inverter that provides AC power for electronics and appliances. It has a 3,000 watt running power output. This is more instrumental than the voltage output. However, 102 volts is too low of an output, I would ensure that you have proper input voltage going into the inverter. Whether this is sufficient to run your electronics and other needs is going to depend on what you are trying to run and the size of your...

  • Can Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center Accept DC and AC Power as Inputs
The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4560K18LS8 is designed to accept AC input and then put out either AC or DC power. So the generator and shore power sources you mentioned are fine but if you want to run alternator power (12 volt DC) you'd have to have the voltage converted with a converter like # 34280178.

  • What Is A Good Inverter For the 350-450 Price Range.
A power inverter, or inverter, is a power electronic device or circuitry that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). So it will turn your battery power (DC) into (AC) like your house. This lets you use appliances and devices that are only capable of using AC power. The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 3,000 Watts - 12V # 34280178 is my choice. It has inverter and transfer switch functions so you don't need to manually switch from shore power to inverter....

The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178 can connect through a transfer switch to your RV's 12VDC battery bank. Since it has built-in safeguards for over/under voltage, short circuiting, overloading, and over/under temperature it will protect your RV electrical system during power use. It will also display battery wattage and voltage so that you know your power status at any time. You can use the Installation Fuse Block Kit # 342GPDCKIT5 to connect the inverter to...

  • Does Progressive Dynamics 60 Amp RV Power Control Center Convert DC to AC
The Progressive Dynamics 60 Amp RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4560K18LS8 does have a built-in converter but if you have some outlets that are designated for AC power then you do need to use an inverter like the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178. For this you can use the fixed-mount remote # 342GP-HD-R and the installation kit # 342GPDCKIT5 to safely connect the inverter to your battery and monitor your system.

  • Version of Go Power Sine Wave Inverter that has Transfer Switch
The terminals on the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178 are designed to have a 12 volt power source like a battery attached to and then on the other side of the inverter are standard sockets you'd see for AC power. This does not have a transfer switch like you mentioned that you'd run to a breaker panel/converter. For an inverter that does have a transfer switch we have the # 34279458 which might be what you are looking for to run to a breaker panel.

You would not be able to use an inverter rated for a 24V system like the Go Power Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 24V # 34279953. I have added a cutout of the instructions for this unit which details that.
